Birthday and Surgery

Jodie will celebrate her 26th birthday on August 31. Please say special prayers for her on her birthday - we pray for another great year in her life and that she continues to improve and get better each day.

Her address for anyone who wishes to send a card is: 514 Parsons, Greenwood, MS 38930. There's already been many requesting her address, so here it is for anyone else who might be interested.

Jodie is also scheduled to have tendon release surgery on her right arm next week on Wednesday, September 5. As most of you know she has not been able to straighten that arm out since the accident, even though she has had numerous Botox injections and splints that have not worked - so this is the next step. Dr. Dipaolo asked Jodie if she wanted to have surgery on her arm and Jodie grabbed her right arm with her left arm and lifted it toward Dr. Diapolo.

We think two of the biggest things that will help Jodie is (1) when she has muscle spasms in that arm you can really tell that it is hurting her and (2) Jodie has never had a skin breakdown and in the crease of her right arm it stays red and we worry about that area. We pray it gives her some relief because when she has a spasm that arm contracts so tight and literally her clenched fist is against her jaw or even the edge of her neck.

Please keep Jodie in your prayers as you have so faithfully done for these 3 years. The power of prayer is so strong and has brought her so far and with your continued prayers we will pray that Miracle Jodie will go even farther.

Please pray for a successful surgery and speedy recovery for Jodie and pray for the doctors and nurses who will be performing the surgery.
